We found the palate \u003cstrong\u003etropical and zesty\u003c\/strong\u003e, intense yet silky, with lemon meringue pie, \u003cstrong\u003eblackcurrant pastilles\u003c\/strong\u003e, sultanas and dried bananas – \u003cstrong\u003esweet chilli spice\u003c\/strong\u003e at the end. The reduced nose was both fruity (\u003cstrong\u003estrawberry tarts\u003c\/strong\u003e, stewed rhubarb) and biscuity (\u003cstrong\u003ebourbon biscuits\u003c\/strong\u003e, Penguins). The palate continued that theme with \u003cstrong\u003eamaretto biscuits\u003c\/strong\u003e, Hobnobs* and sponge fingers in a sherry trifle; the juiciness of \u003cstrong\u003ebramble jam\u003c\/strong\u003e and woody spices lingering in the finish.
